Tuesday, Controversy and Woman's fashions

 

As a prelude to our unit on discrimination, we are taking a look at fashion scandals in history. 

Guiding questions: what is a scandal?

 Does a culture and era impact a scandal?

Our first unit theme is Prejudice and Discrimination

In class:

To begin, you will be looking at scandalous women's fashions throughout history.

Directions: 

In your group, you will look at the following site on your chromebooks: 

10 Scandalous Fashions in Hisrtory

You may share a chromebook, but make sure everyone can see the images.

Everyone in your group should have the list of the scandalous historical items, BUT one person only should scribe.

What is the scribe doing? 

             Listing the names of the people in the group

             Writing the sentence that has been composed by the whole group on the handout sheet.

One sheet from each group will be collected at the close of class.
